International Day of Peace – 21st September

During the day children will explore the meaning of peace and write messages of peace.

    Our whole school will explore the celebration of Eid, including traditional Muslim gifts and food, whole school activities and workshops.

  • Black History Month - 1st - 30th October

    During this month in particular our schools will celebrate the history and achievement of black people.

  • Spain National Day or ‘Fiesta Nacional de Espana’ - 12th October

    Our whole school will celebrate the country of Spain including special dinner, whole school activities and workshops.

  • Harvest Festival - 16th October

    Our whole school will collect food for the Basildon Refuge and local home for the elderly, and celebrate Harvest with parents and local community in a shared act of collective worship during the Year 5 Harvest Assembly.

    Anti Bullying Week - Make a Noise about Bullying12th - 16th November

    Week long activities involving the whole school and led by the Anti-Bullying Ambassadors.

  • To empower children and young people to make a noise about bullying – whether it is happening to them or to someone else, face to face or online;
  • To raise awareness of the impact of bullying on children's lives if they don't tell anyone it's happening – or if they are not given appropriate support – with a focus on the impact on mental health.
  • St Andrews Day - 30th November

    Our whole school will explore the celebration of St Andrews Day, including traditional Scottish gifts and food, workshops and whole school activities.

    Advent/Christmas - 6th – 18th December

    The whole school will take part in a range of activities and acts of collective worship. The choir will perform at the local church. There will be a Christingle service at school. EYFS and KS1 will hold Nativity based assemblies for parents and the local community.

    Children will take part in activities that promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones

    Years 3 and 4 perform to parents a version of the Easter Story. The whole school will also celebrate through cross curricular activities.
